Installation Instructions

1.      First unzip the zip file containing cart store and then upload the files in the zip file to your hosting, you can use FilleZilla if you don't have a ftp client, its free and very good. We recommend putting CartStore in the root directory of your website, if you need to put it in a folder on your hosting you will need to edit the .htacess file located in the root of CartStore and look on line 47 for the text that says "RewriteBase /" and then you will need to change that, if you uploaded to a directory named /store you will need to change that to "RewriteBase /store/ , this is for the seo urls.

2.      Next you need to create a database and database user in your hosting control panel. You will use those credentials and information to install CartStore.

3.      After you upload CartStore you want to go to the installation folder located in the CartStore root, go to www.yourwebsite.com/install and follow the installation screens.

 

Screen 1: This screen just checks your servers configuration to see if its properly setup for CartStore

 

 

Screen 2, step 1: Database server, this is where you enter the database details such as host, database name, username and password. After clicking continue the installer will import the database.

 

 

Screen 3, step 2:  Web Server, this screen will attempt to automatically locate the servers url and path

 

 

Screen 4, step 3: This is where you fill in details like store name, store email and store owner email. The store owner email will be used as the primary login for the CartStore administration panel

 

 

Screen 5, Step 4: Finished! You may now login to the CartStore administration panel by clicking on the administration tool button.

 

Remove the installation directory from your hosting

You're all done!
